03. Integrity & AI Usage Policy
AI Usage Policy
AI tools may be used for language refinement. AI must not generate original research content or results. Excessive use may result in integrity flagging.
Unsupported Tool Clause: NOUSIAN allows plagiarism and AI reports from other tools if the research was previously checked using a paid or institution-mandated service. These may be flagged as "Externally Verified."
Integrity Thresholds
Submissions exceeding thresholds (AI >30% or Plagiarism >15%) will be labeled as "Integrity Flagged." NOUSIAN does not reject solely based on scores.
04. Authorship & Attribution
All authors must have contributed significantly. Proper citation is required. Fabricated authorship is grounds for removal.
Submissions must follow the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion format.
07. Abstract-Only Submissions
NOUSIAN also accepts Abstract-Only submissions for researchers who wish to publish preliminary findings or establish priority before completing their full paper. This option is ideal for ongoing research, early-stage discoveries, or work in progress.
Supporting Document Required: Abstract-only submissions must include a Supporting Document — proof of work demonstrating that you are the original researcher. This may include lab notebooks, preliminary data visualizations, methodology drafts, institutional approval letters, or other evidence of your ongoing research progress.
Requirements for Abstract-Only Submissions:
Abstract PDF: Your formatted abstract following the naming convention: lastname_year_abstract.pdf
AI Detection Report: AI analysis of your abstract
Plagiarism Report: Originality check of your abstract
Supporting Document: Proof of research progress: lastname_year_supporting.pdf
Reason Statement: Brief explanation of why you're publishing abstract-only
Note: Abstract-only submissions can be upgraded to full papers later when your research is complete.
